While solidly planted in Mexican tierra, Casa Arriba harkens to the Greek Isles or Italy with its white washed walls, individual casitas and spectacular bright blue sea, verdant jungle and pueblo views. Terracing and staircases connect the 3 levels and 5 casitas, affording the utmost in privacy for individuals or groups. The casa makes a fantastic, private and peaceful escape for creatives including screenwriters, authors, artists or yogis. There are no loud pubelo noises, nighttime music, early morning roosters or traffic to distract you. You will think you have found heaven and sleep to crickets and ocean waves.
The casa is situated on top of the highest point in Sayulita yet it is only a short 4 minute drive to the playa and el centro or a beautiful 10 minute walk downhill via two roads that offer spectacular views. In the summer when it´s hot or wet, it is advised to have a 4WD or taxis are available for less than the cost of a car rental.
A separate sala-cocina casita in the tradition of Mexico offers a fully stocked community kitchen. Gardens and a variety of areas for relaxing or entertaining look over the blue Pacific. Our own concierge service offers a ¨Packed Pantry¨so your kitchen or kitchenette is fully stocked prior to your arrival. See below for contact information.
The casa is sophisticated yet down to earth and is made wholly of natural materials from the area. Patate mat impressions in the high, beamed cement ceilings are unique to Sayulita, poured cement floors, bathrooms of tumbled stone and marble, contemporary doors and charming furnishings provide guests with a relaxing atmosphere.
Three of the casitas offer private balconies overlooking the world class view, private bathrooms, queen sized beds.
One of the three casitas has a kitchenette, all others have use of the community cocina.
One beautiful bedroom is made of stone with high, beamed ceilings, double and single beds and a charming bathroom with antique copper sink directly outside.
PRIVATE AND INDIVIDUAL BEGINNERS ART CLASSES are available, as are cooking classes in traditional Mexican fare including Pollo Mole, the delicious Oaxacan chili-chocolate chicken dish. Kids can help make Sayulita Dulces which are made at Casa Arriba during high season, or guests can order in-casa massages, a guest chef, mariachi music and much more to make your stay a true Mexican experience.

Note regarding safety on the Riveria Nayarit: Despite overblown media reports, 98% of Mexico is safe for traveling and Sayulita is one case in point. We urge you not to be fearful of traveling here or fearful during your stay as Sayulita and the coast is safe. Like any tourist destination, there are occasional house robberies, but gladly Casa Arriba has never had an issue. We have two darling rescue dogs on site who love to guard the property and are good at their work so do be aware that there are dogs on site. We do our best to keep them quiet in the mornings during your stay.
Casa Arriba is a drug and smoke free environment. No loud parties or unregistered guests are allowed.
