There's much more than meets the eye as you pass through unassuming rustic wooden doors & a small zen-like courtyard. Inside this lovely contemporary mexican-style home, a wall of glass telescopes open ... and the casual living space becomes one with a cool palapa-roofed oceanfront dining area/terrace/outdoor grill kitchen. Overlooking the azul infiniti pool & white sand beach, with Banderas Bay sparkling beyond, you KNOW you've arrived in paradise!
Casa Kaeli was designed specifically for casual living and entertaining! The living area decor is vibrant, with hues of orange, rust & eggplant. Art niches, tropical ceiling fans, artsy light fixtures, & stained concrete floors w/stone insets add interest. A flatscreen tv and DVD player provides a respite from total relaxation when (if) you want it!?
The open kitchen features hand made primavera custom cabinetry, a Italian stianless steel stove, & a gorgeous large slab granite island. With the glass doors opened, a portion of the kitchen counter becomes a double-sided serving bar that can be accessed from the kitchen or the palapa dining side. Everything is provided, from the usual toaster, blender, coffee maker & microwave to wonderful tableware, glassware & cookware. You'll find bright, colorful mexican table linens and napkins as well as serving dishes.
A large stainless steel JennAire gas grill is built into a granite & tile serving bar in the dining palapa/oceanfront terrace. This is THE spot for morning coffee, afternoon siestas, leisurely meals, card playing etc. The oversized rustic dining table has been designed and built of antique merquite wood. Built-in cushioned banquet and traditional equipale chairs gather round for dinners served in this uniquely wonderful setting. Evenings are particularly enchanting at Casa Kaeli, with the twinkling lights of Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta & Bucerias encirlcing the bay!
There are two master suites, one on the main floor and one a self-contained palapa studio suite on the top level (muy romantico! w/spa tub and unique indoor-outdoor jungle style tile shower, sitting area & oceanfront terrace.) Each bathroom and bedroom has its' own unique style and appointments.
Steps lead from the dining palapa & terrace down to the pool level, where two additional bedrooms share a (double-sinked, walk-in shower) bath and a palapa-fringed poolside terrace. You'll truly feel "one with the ocean" in the sparkling pool, which has a shallow sumerged "island" area and shelf seat across one entire side of the pool. It's just a few steps to the grassy yard with tiny palapa (for some needed shade in the white-hot tropical afternoons!) and then the long BEACH.... stretching all the way to Bucerias and beyond to Nuevo Vallarta. Take a morning walk to Los Picos restaurant on the beach at Playas de Huanacaxtle, collect shells, take a leisurely swim. When you've had enough sun, the four air-conditioned bedrooms at Casa Kaeli await you!
