This Nantucket-style shingled custom cottage has upscale finishes, quality furnishings and boasts extreme comfort & walls of view windows. Created especially for casual "barefoot" beach living, with a sandy path leading right onto soft sandy, safe beach.
Beach bonfires, kite flying, castle building, wading, driftwood & shell collecting, wind sailing (this is THE area for it in Lincoln City, lessons available locally)... there is so much you can do on this stretch of sand along the bay! No sneaker waves here, kids can play safely. Cutler City beach is also the location for Lincoln City 4th of July fireworks ~ lots of action then!
Inside Clambake Cottage, a nautical star is inlaid into the beautiful Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. Beaded board, board & batten & special paint wall finishes establish the "beachy" decor. Walls of windows let in tons of light to the roomy great room with compact entertainer's custom kitchen, dining area w/built-in banquet seating, and lving area with large flatscreen tv & chunky river rock gas fireplace with custom copper surround. Comfy overstuffed chairs & sofa, baby grand piano, plenty of books, Cds & movies all ensure your beach retreat time can truly be that!
Well appointed for casual entertaining whether it be a barbecue, beach hotdog cook-out, or special gourmet meal inside... everything is here for you. Take some wine to the beach and watch the sunset!
A ground-floor bedroom features chic ultra-luxe black & tan checkerboard carpet, a surfboard chandelier & pays homage to some of the world's favorite surfing beaches in a fun and funky way. The adjacent bath adds a bit of tropical memories, & has a shower.
A water-view day bunk is tucked alongside the stairway, a wonderful spot for an afternoon nap or even to sleep a couple small ones. Upstairs, a small computer loft overlooks the day bunk area and offers a spot for a little catching up on work if you must!
The large upper guest bedroom is pretty with its' seashell & glass chandelier, queen bed & sofa sitting area with TV. The compartmentalized bath with travertine floor has a tub/shower combo.
The masterpiece of Clambake Cottage has to be the incredible master bedroom!! .... a dramatic barrel-vaulted ceiling with high circle window frames a truly million dollar view of the beach, the bay and ocean beyond. The king bed is super-comfy; there are two easy chairs with coffee table for watching the flat screen tv (when you are able to take your eyes off the view!) The travertine master bath feautres a 2 person "bubbler" tub (special bath salts included) and oversized steam shower.
This wonderful cottage has been planned for ultimate coastal get-aways, and is definitely a cut above. Not for everyone,, however if you are looking for the best ~ you've come to the right plroperty. Perfect for couple retreat weekends, "girl trips", honeymoons etc. Absolutely NO SMOKING & NO PETS ALLOWED.
